Annual Meeting 2023

November 28, 2023 

Ka Lima O Maui marked its 68th year with a joyous celebration at the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului. The event, attended by over 100 individuals, featured a heartwarming Thanksgiving luncheon served by Ka Lima’s dedicated staff, receiving resounding praise for its ono food and treats.

The program was graced by an address from Mayor Richard Bissen and insightful remarks from Board President David Jorgensen. Serving as the master of ceremonies, JD Wyatt, Ka Lima O Maui’s Executive Director, provided valuable insights into the organization’s achievements over the past year.

A pivotal moment in the Annual Meeting was the presentation of the coveted 2023 Annual Awards. This year’s deserving recipients included:

• Ground Staff Excellence Award: Jonathan Hosaka
• Outstanding Custodial Staff: Kepano Panela
• Grounds Contract Partner: Cameron Center
• Custodial Contract Partner: Hawaii Child Support Enforcement Agency – Maui
• Staff of the Year: Sharon Farrell
